Ministries

Life_Group

Life Groups are small gatherings of men and women who come together on a regular basis in order to learn, love, serve and live out life together. These are an essential element in becoming involved here at Lighthouse.  To learn more about Life Groups and how to get involved, click on the picture to the left or click here.

Souled_Out

Souled Out is what we call our Adult Bible Studies. We have chosen to utilize Sunday morning for worship and fellowship, so we host Souled Out on Sunday evenings from 5-7 pm. We always begin each week with a potluck and fellowship time and then get into our studies closer to 5:30 pm. We typically have several classes going concurrently, so you are free to study an area that is of interest to you.  For more information on the classes we are currently offering please click on the image to the left or click here.

Mens_Ministry

Our Men's Ministry is composed of a weekly study during the school year as well as other fellowship events doing things that men love to do, like shooting clays, eating steak, and golfing.  We are also looking foward to the annual Men's Retreat to Hidden Acres coming up in January.  For more information on our study, retreat, and upcoming get togethers click the picture to the left or click here.

Womens_Ministry

Our Women's Ministry includes Bible Studies and a monthly Women's Ministry Night where our women get together for a great time of fellowship.  Women need their time with other ladies so we think you should join us!  For more information on our Bible Study and our next get together click the image to the left, or click here.

Care_Ministry

The Care Ministry of Lighthouse Community Church exists to care for the needs of its body and our community. This includes creating a safe environment for the people of our congregation to connect and share their physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual struggles, as well as help them to serve the needs of the community around us. Our desire is to provide assistance with those struggles whenever it is in our power to do so. We believe that in addition to being a body that worships together, that God commands us to care for one another and that by doing this we show others that we belong to Him.  Please contact Pastor Craig if you are interested in this ministry.

ubtlogoThe U.B.T., or Urban Benevolent Team, is a ministry within LCC’s Care Ministry. It’s designed to aid in the facilitating of LCC Life Groups or other small congregational groups in benevolent acts of kindness and need. They accomplish this by partnering with local organizations serving the underprivileged and needy and by organizing individual teams to serve in our Des Moines area. Some of the organizations that we partner with are: Freedom For Youth, Bidwell Riverside Center, Ruth Harbor Home, Hope Family Center and Habitat For Humanity. We also arrange various Random Acts of Kindness for residents in and around our neighborhoods.  For more information click in the image on the left, or click here.
