Adult Ministries Fall 2010 "SOULED-OUT" Series

“Experiencing God's Dream For Your Marriage”

In the United States today, 1 out of every 3 marriages will likely end in divorce at some point. The family unit that God designed back in the Garden is suffering as it never has. Marriage is a wonderful gift from God and provides us with an opportunity to share the journey of life with another person. But marriage is hard and often the dreams we had when our vows were exchanged become shattered and couples grow bitter towards their life partners.

In this 12-part series by Pastor and Teacher Chip Ingram, learn how to bring a fresh breeze back into your marriage by examining God’s design for marriage, with practical instruction to help make your marriage what God desires it to be.

This is a video series with accompanying workbook and it will begin at 5:00 pm on Sunday evenings, starting Aug. 29th , here at Lighthouse. Sign-ups will be available in the LCC foyer starting Aug. 8th. Sign-up and prepayment for books is preferred.

“Acts - The Spread of the Gospel”

Luke wrote the book of Acts as a testament to the explosive spread of the gospel and the rapid growthof the church after Christ’s ascension. Beginning with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the new church was born, and Christ empowered His followers with His divine authority to preach the gospel to all nations. Amongst persecution and opposition, the early believers relied on God’s Spirit for direction and wisdom. As he does today, God showed His infinite power regardless of the circumstances. Pastor and Teacher, John MacArthur takes you through a verse-by-verse examination of one of the most exciting moments in the history of the church - it’s birth!

This, a 12 week course by John MacArthur, begins at 5:00 pm Sunday evening, Aug. 29th  here at Lighthouse. Sign-ups will be available in the LCC foyer starting Aug. 8th. Sign-up and prepayment for books is preferred.

 “The Miracle of Life Change”

The Miracle of Life Change is more than a Bible study or small group curriculum, it’s a window into the heart of God. In this 10-part video study you’ll learn how to overcome lifelong habits that have held you back from experiencing God’s best, God’s threefold principle for transformation, and the five stages of spiritual training that will equip you for success in the transformation process. Pastor and Teacher Chip Ingram is passionate about helping Christians really live like Christians.

This course  begins 5:00 pm Sunday evening, Aug. 29th here at Lighthouse. Sign-ups  will be available in the LCC foyer starting Aug. 8th . Sign-up and prepayment for books is preferred

Craig_Web1Hello to you, my name is Pastor Craig and I am the Adult Ministries Pastor here at Lighthouse. Allow me to take just a minute and tell you about the ministries we offer for adults.

We offer what we call "Community Groups", which are small gatherings of anywhere between 8 to 20 people, who meet in homes or at the church, for the purpose of growing spiritually and developing relationships with one another. Some groups meet weekly and others every other week. The meeting days and times are determined by each individual group, depending on schedules. I addition to our Community Groups, we also offer a care ministry, men's and women's ministries as well as events and specialty groups that come together to help meet both the physical and spiritual needs of a lost world and our community around us when circumstances and the Spirit of God calls us.

Jesus reminds us in John 13:35 that the world will know that we belong to Him by how we love one another, and our LCC Care Ministry certainly exemplifies that virtue. Our Care Team has dedicated itself to the loving needs of those in our congregation, whether those be physical needs, spiritual, emotional, relational or financial. If there's anyway that our compassionate Care Team can accommodate the needs of those around us, they do so.

Our Men’s ministry is for all men, post-high school and up. On a regular basis, we have large group meetings and accountability groups. We also have monthly events that are relation building like: fishing trips, barbeque's, summer golf league, Promise Keeper events, district retreats and much more. While this ministry is far from being fully developed, we are striving to make it a more well-rounded ministry, because we know how important it is to reach and equip men.

Our Women’s Ministry is also for all women, post-high school and up. On a regular basis we have Bible studies, mentoring programs, monthly and annual events, Secret Sisters, and we attend conferences and retreats.
