 Unfortunately, Souled Out has finished for the Spring. Souled Out is a segment of our Adult Discipleship. We offer classes on Sunday night from 5-7 pm. The first half hour is a potluck and fellowship time, so please bring a dish to share and enjoy some time meeting new people and encourage your friends! To review, the classes we offered were:  We have been entrusted with the Word of God. The very words that God has given to us to reveal Himself to us, to let us know our purpose as humans on this planet. The words that God shows His love for us and the words which God has commanded of us because He wants what's best for us and Him. In God's Word we are told that the two greatest commandments are to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, and soul and to love others. Yet, we live in a culture that is highly individualistic, where people most frequently act as if their needs and wants are greater than anyone elses. That includes the view point of many people in the American church. So what does it look like to put others before self, and Christ above all? This class will examine how we are to live out our faith. There are 6 video sessions with excellent teachers like Francis Chan, Matt Chandler, and J.R. Vassar. Check out the video trailer below! The Art of Marriage The Art of Marriage is a video study that brings together some of the most respected and influential pastors and experts on marriage and family all in one setting. It also brings a fresh approach to a video event by weaving together some of the following elements to help couples fully experience God’s design for marriage. If you are familiar with Family Life's Weekend to Remember conferences, this takes some of the same concepts and gives you truths about marriage that you can work through in a small group session. In the studies we will examine God's purpose for marriage, the ways that love fades over time and how to overcome that isolation, the responsibilities that need to be fulfilled, help in communicating and resolving conflict, guidance in experiencing real intimacy, and how to leave a lasting legacy. There is also a manual that includes different activities and discussions that are necessary to help spouses improve their marriage. This is a wonderful study for all married couples of all ages, not just couples who are having struggles. If you are married we would strongly encourage you to attend this class! We will not be purchasing the workbooks for you, so if you are going to take this class please purchase your workbooks before the class begins, the books are available here.  Have you ever had questions about the Bible? We understand that the Bible can be intimidating and confusing. We also know that many people are to shy or embarrassed to ask their questions. This is a class designed to cover some of the most common question in the Christian faith, but it is also a class where no question is frowned upon or considered silly. The Bible tells us that understanding the foundations of the faith is the beginning of spiritual growth. This is a 7 week course with some teaching, but will largely be based on discussion to examine the core issues of the Bible like faith, sin, salvation, miracles, Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit, and any other questions you might have. |
