Our Mission
Our desire is to be a church
Devoted to Jesus (Acts 2:42) and
Committed to Making Him Known (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 12:19-31)
Our desire is that everyone would know Jesus and be devoted to Him. This is far more than having knowledge about Jesus; it is a living, personal relationship with the Savior of the world. As Jesus Himself prayed, “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3). To know Him is to love Him, to worship Him, and to treasure Him above all else (Matthew 22:37; Philippians 3:8).
Devotion to Jesus means we are in love with Him—sold out for His glory, all in for the gospel, and passionate in our worship. Scripture calls us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, which is our spiritual worship (Romans 12:1). Our prayer is that this devotion would be visible, genuine, and contagious.
When we are devoted to Jesus, we will want to make Him known. Jesus told His disciples, “You will be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8), and the apostle Paul declared, “Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16). There are people in our neighborhoods, near our church, and throughout the world who do not truly know Jesus. Some may know His name or basic facts about Him, but they do not trust Him as Savior and Lord (Matthew 7:21–23).
Therefore, we desire to proclaim His name, preach the gospel, and lovingly plead with people to be reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20). We want to encourage every believer to make disciples in their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and everywhere God places them, obeying the Great Commission of our Lord (Matthew 28:18–20).
- The Authority and Sufficiency of Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God, our final authority for faith and practice. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16–17). God’s Word is truth (John 17:17), and it is able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Therefore, we are committed to expository preaching, faithful teaching, and training our people to read, understand, and apply Scripture in every area of life.
- The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the eternal Son of God, the only Savior of sinners (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9). He lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and reigns as Lord (1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 5:8; Philippians 2:9–11). “There is salvation in no one else” (Acts 4:12). Our devotion, worship, preaching, and discipleship are centered on Christ alone (Colossians 1:18).
- Salvation by Grace Alone Through Faith Alone
We believe sinners are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone (Ephesians 2:8–9). Salvation is not earned by works, religious effort, or moral improvement, but is a gift of God purchased by Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5–7). True saving faith produces repentance and a transformed life (James 2:17; 2 Corinthians 5:17). We are committed to clearly preaching the gospel and calling people to repent and believe in Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15).
- The Call to Discipleship and Life in the Church
We believe every believer is called to follow Jesus as a disciple, growing in holiness, obedience, and love for others (Luke 9:23; John 13:34–35). God has designed the local church as the primary context for discipleship, accountability, worship, and service (Acts 2:42–47; Hebrews 10:24–25). We affirm the importance of meaningful church membership, biblical leadership, and the regular practice of the ordinances—baptism and the Lord’s Supper—as commanded by Christ (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
- The Mission of the Church: Making Disciples of All Nations
We believe the church exists not only for the glory of God and the edification of believers, but also for the advance of the gospel to the ends of the earth (Matthew 28:18–20; Romans 10:14–15). Every Christian is called to be a witness, and every church is called to be a sending church. We long to see disciples made in families, neighborhoods, and nations, until the earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord (Habakkuk 2:14; Revelation 7:9–10).
